Edgewood Park

The SAS early morning to Edgewood attracted a dozen birders, including 2 from Canada! The morning was cool and clear, but the birds were strangely quiet. We headed up the trail and found a Red-shouldered Hawk sunning on a snag - and then the fog came down! It was so weird to see the mist fall down on the park while Skyline was clear, and the fog eventually settled down on Cañada Road. The birds we saw were few, but we could here the rest. As we looked South from one of the lookouts a pair of Kites floated out of the mist just like a pair of ghosts and gave us great looks as they kited the fields.
