Bringing Wildlife Home: Creating Backyard Gardens for Birds

native garden display

Switching to natives and incorporating bird-safe components doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming. A mosaic of native gardens in urban setting can mitigate habitat loss by providing effective food, shelter, breeding sites and migration refugia. Transitioning to natives prepares backyard habitats and wildlife for climate change, reduces water use, and provides a path for active, positive action.
